Flight Attendants Awarded $1M After Uniforms Make Them Sick


4 American Airways flight attendants had been awarded over $1 million by a grand jury in California final week after it was discovered their uniforms contained poisonous chemical substances that created a slew of well being issues.

In 2017, flight attendants sued Twin Hill, the uniform producer, after claiming that traces of formaldehyde and toluene had been discovered of their clothes which led to well being issues resembling rashes, complications, bother respiration, and swollen eyes.

A choose has not but affirmed the jury’s determination, however attorneys representing the flight attendants defined that the step is merely a technicality.

The problem with the uniforms arose when American Airways switched uniforms for flight attendants in 2016.

The uniforms made by Twin Hill had been discovered to be a “substantial consider inflicting hurt” to the flight attendants by the jury, although Twin Hill was not discovered to be negligent within the design of the uniforms.

American Airways didn’t instantly reply to Entrepreneur’s request for remark.
