After shedding some 2,000 workers this week, Charles Schwab isn’t planning extra layoffs, The Wall Avenue Journal reported late Wednesday.
Schwab on Friday would neither affirm nor deny the report was correct or touch upon any additional employees discount plans on the whole.
“What I can guarantee everyone seems to be that there aren’t any extra significant place eliminations into consideration at this cut-off date,” Charles Schwab CEO Walt Bettinger stated Wednesday in a video to workers, a transcript of which The Wall Avenue Journal reported seeing.
“Circumstances can change, however there may be nothing within the works at this level,” Bettinger stated within the transcript, in response to the Journal report.
Charles Schwab has dimissed about 5%-6% of its whole workforce as a part of its newest spherical of layoffs, an organization spokesperson instructed ThinkAdvisor on Wednesday.
